Return and refund policy

The Anointing Oil Shop operates an international webshop and is committed to ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This Return & Refund Policy explains the terms for returns, exchanges, and refunds. By placing an order, you agree to the conditions outlined below.

1. Return Period

You may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery, provided you notify us within this period. Returns requested after 30 days will not be accepted, except where required by applicable law.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

• Unused, unopened, and in the same condition as received.

• In their original packaging.

• Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

The following items are non-returnable:

• Perishable goods, such as anointing oils.

• Intimate or sanitary goods.

• Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.

• Gift cards.

• Downloadable products.

• Health and personal care items (unless defective or damaged).

3. Non-Returnable Circumstances

We may deny returns or offer only partial refunds for:

• Items showing signs of use or damage not due to our error.

• Items missing parts or not in original condition for reasons not attributable to us.

• Items returned more than 30 days after delivery, unless required by law.

• Returns sent without prior notification, as outlined in Section 4.

4. Refund Process

To initiate a return:

1. Contact us at info@anointingoil.org within 30 days of delivery to request a return authorization and receive return instructions.

2. Returns sent without prior notification will not be accepted or refunded.

3. Do not send items back to the manufacturer or dropshipping partner without our instructions.

4. Ship the item to the address we provide, using a trackable service for items valued over $75. You are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable.

Upon receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will:

• Notify you by email of receipt and whether the return is approved.

• Process approved refunds within 10 business days to your original payment method. Refunds exclude original and return shipping costs.

If you have not received a refund within 14 days, please:

• Check your bank or payment account.

• Contact your payment provider or bank, as processing times may vary.

5. Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale or discounted items cannot be refunded, unless required by applicable law.

6. Exchanges

We offer exchanges only for defective or damaged items. To request an exchange:

• Email us at info@anointingoil.org within 30 days of delivery.

• Follow our provided return instructions.

• We will ship a replacement for the same item, subject to availability, at no additional shipping cost to you.

7. Gifts

For items marked as gifts at purchase:

• If returned within 30 days, we will issue a gift credit for the item’s value, sent to you upon receipt of the return.

• If the item was not marked as a gift or was shipped to the gift giver, we will refund the gift giver’s original payment method.

8. Shipping and Delivery

You are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. We recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing insurance for high-value items, as we are not liable for lost or undelivered returns.

Delivery times for exchanged items vary by location. For EU customers, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, starting from the day you receive the item, which we extend to 30 days for convenience.

9. EU Consumer Rights

For customers in the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the item without stating a reason, as per the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). Our 30-day return period exceeds this requirement. To exercise this right:

• Notify us at info@anointingoil.org within 30 days of delivery.

• Return the item in its original condition, following our instructions.

• You bear the cost of return shipping, unless the item is defective or incorrect.

This right does not apply to non-returnable items listed in Section 2 or custom-made products.

10. Defective or Incorrect Items

If an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect due to our error, we will cover return shipping costs and provide a full refund or exchange, subject to inspection. Contact us at info@anointingoil.org within 30 days of delivery to report the issue.

11. International Returns

As our products are shipped from the USA, international customers must follow our return instructions to ensure proper processing. Return shipping costs are your responsibility, and refunds exclude any customs duties or taxes paid upon delivery. Check with your local customs authority for applicable fees.

We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. Updates will be posted on our webshop, with the effective date revised. Please review this policy before making a purchase.
